Golfing with Pain or Injury Seminar

In this seminar PGA Golf Professional Craig Goodall will present golf technique tips to manage common golf related injuries. Craig will discuss club selection and game planning for those with pain or injury.
Craig will provide practical tips for golfers wanting to resume playing after spinal pain or surgery.

About the Speakers:
Craig Goodall
Golf Professional (Australian PGA Trainee of the Year 1998)
Craig has been a PGA member since completing his 3 yr traineeship in 1998, in that year he was awarded the highest achievement ( Australian PGA Trainee of the Year). After this he was awarded Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Player. He has won 9 PGA tournaments and played the Australasian PGA Tour before moving to the UK in 2003. He gained invaluable experience and knowledge while in the UK. Craig has been coaching in Australia since 2005.
Craig currently does private golf coaching and educates the bio-mechanics of the golf swing at two Brisbane Private schools, St Joseph’s Nudgee College and Clayfield College. He gives presentations for the Queensland PGA Trainees.
Anthony Power
Clinical Nutritionist, BHSc(Nutritional Medicine) 
Anthony gained his Bachelor of Nutrition from the Australian College of Natural Medicine. He has been in private practice for almost 10 years. Anthony is also a qualified Naturopath. Anthony prides himself on working like a ‘Nutritional Detective’ to try and assess the underlying reasons for lack of weight loss, poor energy or illness. Anthony will speak about the main issues in regards to improving bone density. This will include information about diet and digestion and how it links to bone strength, specific minerals, supplements and conditions that may impair bone growth/strength.
Gillian Kehoe
APA Physiotherapist, B.PHTY, B.BSF
Fortus Health’s Gillian Kehoe is a Physiotherapist, Personal Trainer and Clinical Pilates Instructor. Gill works on the Fortus team helping patients recover from pain and injury. She has had many years experience helping people achieve their strength goals. Gill is will present the latest research on exercise and bone density, and balance training.
Elizabeth Carrigan
Elizabeth formed the Australian Pain Management Association Inc. (APMA), in 2009. The APMA is a national consumer health promotion charity for individuals with persistent pain and their families. APMA delivers a range of community-based services, including an information website), a telephone helpline service, pain support groups and delivers self-management education. Elizabeth is an accredited Leader of Chronic Disease Self-Management. She is a member of the Queensland General Practice Advisory Council (GPAC), the Persistent Pain Statewide Steering Committee and a Director on the Board of Painaustralia Ltd, the national coordinating body working to prevent and manage pain.
