Career Highlights:

  • The highlight of my career so far was when I went from Brisbane on a mission trip to Sri Lanka in 2009 where we conducted a health program for the tea pickers on Plantation Estates. While there, we found a 21 year old partial paraplegic living in less than basic conditions, who we were able to help walk again
  • Teaching physiotherapy students at the University of Qld
  • Seeing my patients make positive choices that will change their lives for the better
  • Working in a profession where I have the opportunity to work alongside other highly qualified Physiotherapists and Medical Specialists
  • Working at Fortus – Every day is a different and interesting day at Fortus!  I thoroughly enjoy meeting people from a diversity of backgrounds and love the challenge of determining the best possible management for each individual.

Serena’s interests outside work include spending time with her husband, family and friends, hiking, running, going to the gym, cooking and gardening.
